Lori Smith had a brilliant idea to turn her old tide pod container into an adorable gnome!
Here are her directions…
“Gnomes I made out of recycled tide pod containers… Hats from dollar general ..the nose is a styrofoam ball painted flesh color. Paint the styrofoam ball .. I did several coats. Cut a hole in the middle of the container (not too big) you want to be able to “twist “ the nose in Fill the container with a few rocks so it’s stable. After the nose was twisted in I put a little hot glue around it I then put the plain hat on the bottom half of the container …pulled it tight and cut a small hole for the nose to fit through .. pull the hat tight …and glue the sides all around (I used hot glue…add the beard next (fur from hobby lobby).. then put the second hat on and glue all around .. add embellishments .. I made 7 of these for Christmas gifts… they were a big hit I used both big and small tide containers… Really fun and fairly easy craft to do!”
