Breeann was so sweet to explain about how she did it…”This piece was originally from North Carolina and I found it on Facebook marketplace. I hated the gold detailing in the windows but decided to go ahead and buy it because I loved the detailing at the top. I used Fusion Mineral paint in Raw Silk. The amazing thing with Fusion is that it requires no prep work. I made sure to clean the piece off and out really well with some warm soapy water. After that I went ahead and did a very light sand by hand with 220 grit just because the piece was very very slick and I have 3 kiddos so I didn’t want to take any chances. After the sanding I wiped it down with a lint free cloth and got to painting. I got 3 coats on and it covered it amazingly. No primer needed. After everything was painted and dried, I distressed it with some 220 grit and it was done! No sealing is needed with this paint because it has a built in top coat! I can’t believe how much this piece came to life after a little bit of paint. And the best part? The gold detailing in the windows is now my favorite part of this piece. Proof that paint is a miracle worker! I had so much fun doing this and I loved watching it transform!”
