If cutting, painting, and putting up shiplap seems like a daunting task to you…there’s an easy way! Nicole Leigh actually used a black sharpie to create the look of shiplap in her front entry way. It turned out so beautiful I want to do it in my bathroom now! You can also use a cricut to make vinyl shiplap lines!

How to make sharpie shiplap walls:
- Prep your area with blue painters tape (make a square or rectangle shape where you want it to go).
- Paint inside the tape a white color and let dry.
- Take a 24 inch level and a pencil then trace lines on the wall. Make sure you are spacing them evenly between each other.
- Go back over with the level and trace with a black sharpie.
Tip: If you screw up and your sharpie line is uneven, grab a magic eraser and scrub it off or go over it with white paint.
Nicole found her hooks on Amazon, they are called rustic entryway hooks.
