Ashley Barragan said she bought a beautiful farmhouse barn door vanity that she spent a small fortune on and it didn’t fit in her bathroom. So she had to figure out a cheap alternative since she couldn’t return that one and already spent a pretty penny. She found this old bathroom vanity on Facebook marketplace! Got to love the old gold faucets and handles!
Here’s the after photo of the bathroom vanity she re-did. Ashley says “I used regular wall paint I had lying around for the off white portion and then I used the stain from the top. Took a very old dried out paint brush and hardly dipped it on the cap of the stain. I brushed out 99 percent of the stain on the back of the cabinet or a piece of cardboard until almost none was left on the brush and then painted the brush over the white to distress it. Then took a rag and dipped it in the stain which I used the corner of the rag and stained all the corners and lines around cabinets etc. for the dark effect. We bought wood from Menards stained and water locked it and got the faucet from Menards. Chicken wire we had laying around””
Q&A’s…
Where is the hammered copper sink bowl from? “On Amazon for $80!”
What did you use for the floor? “It’s the “wood look tile” I believe we got it at Home Depot it was only 75 cents a square foot.”
Here is her bathroom before the reveal…
And here is her beautiful vanity in the bathroom! I just love the chicken wire in the bottom cabinets.
