Modern Farmhouse Fireplace

Here’s the before photo of Gris Peña-Mejia’s fireplace before she gave it a makeover!

She used Bulls eye 1-2-3 white water based interior/exterior primer and sealer, Linen White Ultra Matte Interior Chalked Paint, and Minwax one coat polyurethane.

Gris explained “I didn’t sand the wood, I gave the wood and tile about 3 coats with the 1.2.3. Primer, I waited about 2-3 hours in between to let it dry out. Then I used the chalk paint 2 coats, I only waited about 1 hour since chalk paint dries out quickly. Last I used the the one coat clear stain, I went over twice with it. I let it dry overnight!” I just love how she added the decorative fireplace cover, and added farmhouse decor pieces on the mantle!
